CSAV Shareholders Approve Dividend of US$ 1.669 Billion
Santiago, April 27, 2023 | This afternoon, at the annual general meeting of Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV), the shareholders unanimously approved the board’s dividend proposal to distribute US$ 1.669 billion, equivalent to US$ 0.03252078858815 per share.
“The company had an extraordinary year, driven by Hapag-Lloyd’s strong performance in a pandemic context, which brought with it multiple operational challenges but also positive market conditions. These results, and the consistent strategy followed over the last decade, have allowed us—for the third consecutive year—to repay our shareholders’ confidence in dividends,” said CSAV’s CEO, Oscar Hasbún.
The executive added that the industry is operating more normally, without port congestion, which has improved transit times and the service offered to customers.
The dividend, which is the mandatory minimum of 30%, will be paid on May 25, with an ex-dividend date for shareholders of midnight on May 19. The dividend will be paid in Chilean pesos at the exchange rate published in the Official Gazette on May 19, 2023.
The company closed 2022 with net income of US$ 5.563 billion, the best result in its history.
