April 2023 – In celebration of Earth Day, a sustainability fair at Padre André Coindre primary school was organized by Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) and Kyklos, a consulting firm that promotes a culture of sustainability and a circular economy in organizations, schools, companies, cities, and communities.

As part of the event, students were able to take part in different educational activities at exhibition stands with engaging materials and interactive games to reinforce learning, with the aim of raising awareness and informing new generations about taking care of the environment.

“For us as a school, it was rewarding to see students from pre-K to 8th grade participating for hours in this activity. We want to thank Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores for providing this learning experience, which allowed children to better understand environmental issues,” said Daniel Silva, Principal of Padre André Coindre primary school.

Some of the activities included stands with information on the importance of biodiversity, water conservation, and water efficiency. Additionally, students played games to learn about the 3 R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle.

These types of events are a valuable opportunity to educate and encourage a culture of sustainability that promotes conservation and the protection of nature, while also building teamwork skills in students.
