CSAV proposes total dividends of US$ 860 million and EUR 265 million for its shareholders

At today’s exchange rate, the dividend would total US$ 1.147 billion.

 

Santiago, March 22, 2024 | Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) informed that its Board of Directors agreed, at an extraordinary meeting held today, to propose to shareholders at the annual general meeting a historic dividend of US$ 1.147 billion at today’s exchange rate.

The dividend will be paid in pesos and divided as follows:

  • Minimum mandatory dividend No. 328 of US$ 77,429,585.82. This dividend is equivalent to 30% of distributable net income from 2023. It will be paid on May 24, 2024, to all shareholders of record as of midnight on May 17, 2024.
  • Additional dividend No. 329 of US$ 180,669,033.59. This dividend is equivalent to 70% of distributable net income for 2023 and will be paid on May 24, 2024, to all shareholders of record as of midnight on May 17, 2024.
  • Special dividend No. 330 of US$ 601,901,380.59. This dividend is charged to prior year earnings and will be paid on May 24, 2024, to all shareholders of record as of midnight on May 17, 2024.
  • Special dividend No. 331 of EUR$ 265 million. This dividend is charged to prior year earnings and will be paid on May 24, 2024, to all shareholders of record as of midnight on May 17, 2024.

“Today we are pleased to be able to announce this important dividend to reward our shareholders’ loyalty. The amount consists of the dividend already announced by Hapag-Lloyd in Germany associated with last year’s results, plus significant retentions recovered in Germany on previous dividends,” said CSAV CEO Oscar Hasbún.

CSAV’s annual general meeting will be held on April 26th.
